Save The Date!!
We are continuing the tradition we started last year of honoring OST Essential Workers,  acknowledging all your hard work and celebrating the positive impact you have on the youth and families in Denver by providing FREE lunch!

The second annual Essential Workers Appreciation Lunch Giveaway will take place on Wednesday, December 7th. The details are being finalized so stay tuned for a special newsletter with particulars and ask your organization leaders how and where you can pick up your boxed lunch!

We want to ensure that OST professionals feel both SEEN and HEARD. We are asking that ALL OST professionals prioritize filling out the Power of Us survey before or on the day they pick up their appreciation lunch. This survey will provide critical information necessary to continue elevating the youth fields workforce. We will also receive data specific to Colorado so the DAA can continue advocating for the essential work that you all do. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Thank you in advance for sharing your voice and advancing the OST field!

Emotional Intelligence Corner:
Benefits of Gratitude
This is a time of year when many pause, reflect and practice gratitude. This Positive Psychology article breaks down the many potential benefits of actively practicing gratitude: improved sleep, physical well-being, enhanced self-esteem, reduced aggression and many more. We challenge you to choose at least one of the thirteen gratitude practices to try for the two weeks for yourself, your team and the young people you work with. Reflect on the impact it has on yourself and others.

We at the Denver Afterschool Alliance are so grateful for YOU and all you do to support youth and families in Denver.
