March Coffee and Conversation: I Matter Colorado Experience

On March 3rd, we held a Coffee and Conversation: I Matter Colorado Experience! The event was facilitated by Tripti Sharma MA, LPC who manages I Matter with the Behavioral Health Administration and works with the Colorado Department of Education's Project AWARE team as co-coordinator, with assistance from Austin Collins, the Mental Health Administrator from the Office of Children’s Affairs.

I Matter Colorado was established in 2021 to provide access to mental health and substance use disorder services for youth, in response to the growing need that resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. It is open to youth 18 years of age or younger, or 21 years of age or younger if receiving special education services. The program provides six FREE therapy sessions for youth in Colorado!

As an added bonus, our hosts for this months Coffee and Conversation were our friends from Vuela for Health! Vuela’s mission is to mobilize and engage parents by offering education, resources, and support that strengthen their sense of self-worth, and promote a healthy change in their families and communities.

We encourage you to take a look at both organization’s website for more information and opportunities for collaboration!
