Practicing Resilience

According to the Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary definition, resilience is “an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.” According to Prentis Hemphill, founder of The Embodiment Institute, resilience is our birthright. It’s what we come into the world with. It’s where creativity comes from. It’s where our relationality comes from. And so, the practice of resilience is about resourcing ourselves, accessing resilience, and the experience of resilience whenever we might need it. Prentis recently hosted a brief meditation on the Happiness Break podcast that we can tap into at any time when experiencing stress and anxiety.
