On Monday, April 29th, the Denver Afterschool Alliance celebrated our 7th Annual *Afterschool Professional Awards ceremony and luncheon at City Park Tavern. Winners were selected from a pool of nearly 100 nominees! Maxine Quintana, Out-of-School Time Director of the Office of Children's Affairs and the Co-Founder of the DAA welcomed the group, and congratulatory remarks were offered by Dwight Jones, Executive Director of the Office of Children's Affairs as well as from Dr. Tony Smith, Deputy Superintendent of Denver Public Schools. City Council President, Jamie Torres, generously spoke and presented the winners with their awards. Finally, Mayor Mike Johnston congratulated the winners in a special video! We are deeply grateful for each of the speakers for taking the time to honor and celebrate the hard work of the winners and all OST professionals.
