National History Day in Colorado (NHDC) is in Need of Denver Metro Area Regional and State Judges!
National History Day in Colorado is a pre-collegiate social studies and literacy program. Elementary, Middle and High School students participate in a project-based learning curriculum that emphasizes critical reading and thinking, research, analysis, and the drawing of meaningful conclusions. Students are able to enter into the competition aspect of History Day by registering to compete in regional contests, which may eventually lead to state and national level contest participation.

The Regional contests in the Denver area will take place on the following dates:
Denver/Aurora--March 18
Greater Denver Metro--April 1

Register to Judge for Regional Contests (and see ALL Regional Contest dates in Colorado), HERE.

It's also never too early to register to judge the State Contest!
It takes over 200 judges and volunteers to keep the day running smoothly, and to make the event a positive experience for students! Judges will be trained, and professional development hours are available for educators.
When: April 29, 2023
Where: University of Colorado Denver on the Auraria Campus

Register to judge the State Contest, HERE.
DAAconnect Updates
Youth Program Locator and Partner Directory Updates:
The Partner Directory is now available on the homepage of the Youth Program Locator! We have listened to your feedback and have made the Partner Directory easier to access and you will no longer need to log in to DAAconnect to access this useful tool. If you haven’t visited the Partner Directory lately, be sure to check it out! The Partner Directory is intended for professionals in the youth-serving field to connect with one another and explore ways to work together to expand programs and services.

The Youth Program Locator now extends outside of youth programs and includes additional services that support the whole family. If your organization provides support services or offers resources for families, such as mental health services, rental assistance, clothing, etc. you can now include that information in your DAAconnect profile, so that it appears on the Youth Program Locator. In DAAconnect, visit the Organization Profile tab, add or select an existing Focus Area and view the additional sub-service categories under the Health, Wellness & Family Supports Service Category. Please contact us if you need assistance or have questions:
