The DAA Collective represents the providers’ voice by bringing together all of Denver’s youth-serving professionals, from program staff to executive leaders, to share and learn from each other. These opportunities are made possible by the DAA Collective Leadership Team comprised of committed OST professionals representing a wide range of OST organizations. Their passion for working with youth and families in Denver is inspiring and we appreciate their time and dedication to the field!

Congratulations to the Youth Program Locator Contest Winners!
The DAAconnect team randomly selected providers with current information in the Youth Program Locator to receive some fun prizes, including a walkie-talkie set, a Chromebook, Amazon gift cards and a staff pizza party!
Additionally, 15 organizations received ‘runner up’ prizes of Starbucks gift cards!

New Survey Request: Music in Afterschool Programs
Temescal Associates and The How Kids Learn Foundation are developing a paper on the power of music programs in afterschool, and they want to hear from the experts--YOU!
They would like to profile a number of afterschool programs that feature music offerings, including (but not limited to) musical instrument instruction and playing and composing music with others.

The Village Institute is offering a career development opportunity entitled "My Health Future: Health & Mental Health Career Development Program 2022" to refugee, immigrant, and first-generation teens and young adults (ages 14-17) that may have an interest in pursuing a career in the healthcare industry.
The Colorado Respite Coalition is looking for individuals ages 6-21 years with an intellectual or developmental disability, their siblings, and caregivers that would be interested in a small weekend vacation to Empire, CO in November. Gallaway Consulting Group, with support from the Tony Grampsas Youth Services (TGYS) program, is offering free storytelling sessions/workshops to support TGYS grantees and partners across the state whose work aligns with TGYS prevention areas (Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention; Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Prevention; Student Dropout Prevention; and Youth Crime and Violence Prevention) who wish to include a storytelling narrative (written, audio, or video formats) in their TGYS SFY 24-26 Request for Application (RFA) or other grant applications that incorporate these narratives in their applications. Gallaway Consulting Group will be hosting several 90 minute virtual storytelling workshops over the next three months on the following dates and times:

All sessions will provide the same content, so please register for only one session, as each will be capped at 30 participants. *Please note that no specific TGYS SFY 24-26 RFA topics will be discussed in this workshop, as it is specifically designed to support any available grant that incorporates a written, audio, or video narrative.
