Building Community: Essential for Fostering Inclusivity and Belonging
Building community and creating a climate and culture where all adults and young people thrive is crucial. Intentionally incorporating activities for young people to get to know each other and hold space for conversation and fun is key. Think about a time you felt like you belonged in a space…what did that feel like? Implementing teambuilding activities is one strategy to foster community and build relationships. Build your bank of activities to implement and to share with your team! Here is a list of a few favorites that have been collected over the years. Try one of these or one of your own today!
