Focus on Emotional Wellness
As afterschool programming comes to a close and we prepare for summer, we invite you to take a moment to intentionally focus on your emotional wellness which is defined as: the ability to successfully handle life’s stresses and adapt to change and difficult times. The National Institute of Health put together a wellness toolkit so we can intentionally practice bolstering our emotional wellness utilizing the 6 strategies identified: Build Resilience; Reduce Stress; Get Quality Sleep; Strengthen Social Connections; Cope with Loss; Be Mindful. We challenge and encourage you to focus on at least one strategy as you transition into summer. Take care of YOU!
