Have Your Voice Heard!
The Denver Afterschool Alliance (DAA) has been partnering with Vanderbilt University, Research for Action and the Wallace Foundation on a study for the last year and a half on understanding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Out-of-School Time (OST) ecosystem. Data from this study will help inform how to support recovery as communities start rebuilding. A HUGE "THANK YOU" to all of the organizations that have already completed the survey! We still have so many more of your voices that need to be heard! Help us tell and share the magnificent impact of OST programming for youth and families in this great city!
All organizations that have worked with the DAA since 2018 are eligible to participate.  Simply use the QR link above to take the survey TODAY!

As a small token of our appreciation, we will send you a Starbucks gift card upon survey completion.

Please reach out to Maxine Quintana, Director of OST Initiatives and DAA Lead (Maxine.quintana@denvergov.org) or Wendy McClanahan (wmcclanahan@maieval.com) with any questions.
DAAconnect Updates

Family Support Services on the Youth Program Locator!
We are excited to provide families with an easy way to search for support services on the Youth Program Locator!  Support services include mental health support, veteran's support, rental assistance, substance misuse support, clothing, food banks, and much more. This is a new search category on the Youth Program Locator, but we need more support services added!

For organizations that offer such services, please add these selections to your DAAconnect profile, so that they are listed on the Youth Program Locator. In DAAconnect, visit the Organization Profile tab, add or select an existing Focus Area and view the additional subservice categories under Health, Wellness & Family Supports service category. If you know of an organization that provides these services, but is not listed on the Youth Program Locator, please let us know so we can reach out.

Summer is just around the corner! Don't wait to update!
Now is a great time to visit our
Youth Program Locator and make sure your summer programs are listed, so that families can easily find you! If you are not on the Youth Program Locator or need to update your information, please login to DAAconnect today and update your profile and program schedule.

June Is LGBTQ+ Pride Month!
Pride Month is celebrated annually during the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Riots, an uprising that marks the beginning of an ongoing movement to prevent discriminatory laws and practices against LGBTQ+ Americans. It is a time to acknowledge the challenges faced by this community and to stand in solidarity with their fight for equality, acceptance, and human rights, as well as a time to recognize the LGBTQ+ community and their many contributions to society.
