We are excited to announce that the Denver Afterschool Alliance is getting ready to launch new upgrades for the DAAconnect system and Youth Program Locator! DAAconnect will be upgraded to a new user interface on April 4th. The update will include a new look and feel of the system, as well as improved workflows and navigation. Additionally, the Youth Program Locator will also be upgraded soon to enhance search capabilities for Denver families looking for youth programming and resources!
 

DAAconnect Trainings

Registration for in-person and webinar trainings is now available! Please sign up to attend these training sessions using the links below, to stay up to date with tools and resources that will best help you navigate these upgrades! There will be snacks and refreshments at our live training sessions as well as the opportunity to ENTER TO WIN a Chromebook or Walkie Talkies for your organization!)

There is still time to submit your nomination for the 2022 Afterschool Professionals Awards! All nominations must be submitted by Friday, April 1st! 

Note that we have also modified the Longevity Award Category to include ALL the amazing OST professionals who have dedicated over a decade to the OST field. It’s quick and easy-- See below for details!


Each year, we look forward to recognizing and honoring the amazing contributions of Denver’s out-of-school time community. This year is extra special.....

2022 marks the 10-year Anniversary of the Denver Afterschool Alliance!  
 
We are so proud to share in this incredible milestone with all of you! In celebration, we encourage the OST community to take a moment to recognize the exceptional work of a colleague, peer or yourself!  

We are now accepting nominations for outstanding individuals in the following five categories:

The Equity/Inclusivity Award recognizes an OST professional who has: 
  • Made outstanding contributions toward providing Denver youth and families with access to high-quality, inclusive and culturally-relevant programming
  • Created a welcoming and supportive community climate
  • Fostered equality of opportunity by emphasizing key areas in which diversity and inclusion can make a big impact, such as in recruitment, retention, program climate, research, and community outreach
 
The Service Award recognizes an OST professional who has:
  • Utilized SEAL practices and data-driven decision making to meet the social, emotional and academic learning needs of the whole child
  • Promoted a more holistic approach to service and programming
  • Participated in Professional Learning workshops to seek out ways to better serve youth and communities

The Collaboration Award recognizes an OST professional who has: 
  • Been a valued partner in the OST community
  • Increased the success of team(s) through cooperative problem-solving
  • Encouraged teamwork and cooperation to achieve goals
  • Consistently offered support, assistance and encouragement to co-workers

The Creativity/Innovation Award recognizes an OST professional who has:
  • Taken a creative approach to support and strengthen the after school community
  • Adapted programming and/or creates innovative solutions to find solutions to challenges
  • Taken action steps to put ideas into motion that better serve youth and their communities
To honor the 10th Anniversary of the Denver Afterschool Alliance, we are excited to celebrate and recognize ALL OST providers who have served in the afterschool field for 10+ years!
 
Longevity Acknowledgement:
Who Qualifies?
  • Anyone who has served in the OST field (at any and ALL levels) for 10+ years (doesn’t have to be with the same organization)
  • You can still submit the information for someone even if a nomination was completed for another category
How can I acknowledge  myself, colleagues and/or coworkers?
  • Email erma.cerda@denvergov.org with the name, current organization, and years of service
  • The DAA Collective Leadership Team will do the rest!
