Emotional Intelligence Corner:
Mindful Listening to Reduce Stress and Anxiety
It is testing season, which can bring up a lot of strong feelings, emotions, etc. for both youth and adults. Mindfully listening to young people and the adults around you will support the person in identifying how they are feeling, and you can support them in developing strategies to productively manage those emotions.

To listen mindfully to another person, stop what you are doing and be fully present, breathe naturally, and simply listen, without an agenda and focus on their words.

Try mindful
coloring pages for both youth and adults to ground and reduce anxiety…and it’s fun!
