2022 National Summer Learning Week!
The article referenced in CAP’s latest newsletter highlights the importance of summer programming beyond a remedial education strategy; they provide the space for students to connect with their passions, develop new skills, and build stronger relationships with members of their community. We are excited to celebrate National Summer Learning Week July 11th-15th by spotlighting summer programs across Denver that are providing those spaces for young people!

Look for special edition newsletters every day of the week of July 11th where we will showcase programs that align with
The National Summer Learning Association (NLSA) themes of: Fostering Friendships; Love of Literacy & Learning; Wonders of Wellness; Summer Skill-Building; and Amazing Arts. We will also spotlight these programs and more on our social media platforms, so follow us today @DAACollective!

Stay tuned for the ways you can share all the amazing work you are doing with youth this summer!

Let's Continue to Celebrate Juneteenth!
This past weekend we celebrated Juneteenth. HERE is a link to various activities and videos that you can share with the young people in your programs…the “official” day may have passed, but the learning continues!
DAA team members, Zainab Dafalla and Erma Cerda (pictured above), hit the pavement at the Juneteenth Music Festival (alongside friends with Tasty Food Denver) to be in community with and distribute resources to Denver families on Saturday.

We want to see how you all celebrated! Share your activities, pictures, etc. with us on Instagram or Facebook by using the hashtag #daacollective or tagging us @daacollective.
